Holding Up the Sky: Intergenerational Lessons of Fatherhood

In this memoir, I struggled with an asymmetric family: three kids, two with disabilities and two gifted. I had already wrestled to get free of my father's rules and now found that an entirely new set was needed to handle the chaos of multiple disabilities in the household. Family life became a long series of mismatches in everything from pharmaceuticals, to psychological help, family gatherings, education, and social life.
